The Shoprite shop in the Usave Nomzamo Business Centre is constantly under threat from criminal activities. It is a community centre for the local community but somehow there are always elements at work that must undermine the hard work of people who care.
To ensure that a bricked up entrance is not used as a toilet, Concept Steel Creations was asked to manufacture and install a security gate. This is a typical small project for us that consists of accurately taking the requirements from the customer and then taking accurate measurements for the gate. The gate is then manufactured according to standard templates and methods in the factory. Each gate is based on a previous design and template but is also unique for all installations. Once the gate is complete and finished to the required specification it is sent for galvanising treatment.
For outdoor gates such as this a galvanised finish is adequate. The gate is then fitted into the structure of the building with substantial plugs and screw bolts. It is very important to make sure the gate is level to ensure a smooth open and close action.
